Honor X9d has just been added to the series in Pakistan. They’ve officially unveiled the handset in the local market, and we hear the offline pre-orders are already open for it. Nothing has appeared yet on the online booking, though. The company has revealed its specs on a dedicated microsite. This is all you need to know.
You can tell that Honor X9d is all about battery and durability. The performance comes second on this handset. They’ve built it around a huge 8,300 mAh cell that has a 66W fast charging backup. There aren't many phones in the same price bracket with such a huge battery.
SGS gave it five stars for the drop safety rating. So it should survive from a 2.5m height (lab testing). Water can’t damage the Honor X9d up to 6m. Even hot and pressured water jets can’t penetrate its chassis. An IP68/IP69K rating made it possible.
It’s durable, sure, but the Honor's latest 5G mobile still leaves much to be desired in performance. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip runs the system here. Its boost clock speed is only 2.3GHz. You are stuck on Android 15 Magic OS 9, by the way. The device isn’t exactly new.
Pixels are pushed at a 120Hz refresh rate on its flat OLED screen. Of course, Honor X9d is BlueLight safe. There’s also 3840Hz PWM dimming. It hits 6000 nits local peak brightness. But you’ll see as high as 1800 nits on HBM mode. This is a 6.79” panel, by the way, with 1.5K resolution.
The rear Main camera is 108MP, and a 5MP extra lens takes ultrawide photos on the X9d. That selfie shooter is 16MP on the front. There are also two speakers. WiFi 6 connectivity is also here. The fingerprint ID is a standard optical reader under the screen.
There are, of course, two speakers on this handset, but no 3.5 headphone jack. By the way, the battery is a Li-Po tech (not Si/C), yet the phone is only 7.76mm thin. The reverse charging isn’t really advertised. But the phone can still output 7.5W from its Type-C port. Honor X9d's official price in Pakistan is Rs 109,000.
