Honor X7e 4G has had a solo run thus far. It launched at the beginning of this month, though we did expect to see other devices in the series later on. The company now seems to be working on Honor X7e Plus 5G, which has been clearing certifications left and right. Last we heard, the Honor X7e Plus was greenlit in the UAE for retail.

The phone has “Plus” in the label, so it may be a little different from the original X7e 4G. Then again, it’s Honor we are talking about, so things are never predictable. The TDRA database was updated recently to add the Honor X7e Plus 5G to the index.
TDRA is the UAE’s electronics and telecommunications regulator. So the newcomer passing their certification means it’s coming into the Emirates sooner or later. Now, SGS is another certifier that cleared the Honor new budget mobile. That’s usually a sign for a device reaching EU and Saudi markets.

These are the regions where this phone might launch first. Of course, these are all international markets, so Honor may be gunning for a global launch instead of a local debut. Sadly, these certifications have been less than helpful in terms of specs.

The phone’s hardware has been kept a secret. The Plus version is probably a close relative of Honor X7e 4G. The latter’s built around a 6.61” IPS LCD that only has a 720p HD+ resolution. It is a 120Hz panel, though. It should at least be smooth to scroll around.
The screen’s peak brightness is also nothing to scoff at. That’s an IPS panel with a 1010 nits backlight. The SoC running everything on the X7e 4G is Helio G81. We assume that’s what they’ll change on the Honor X7e Plus 5G. The camera on the 4G version is 50MP with a 7500mAh battery at 45W charging. We’ll let you know if we have any more updates on the Plus version. Keep watching the news.
