Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro are coming soon with OLED displays and Amazing Camera setups

The Honor 20 series will be the next major release by Huawei's sub-brand honor in the near future. Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro, with model codes YAL-L21 and YAL-L41, have recently been making rounds on the world wide web.


According to the latest leaks, Honor 20 could get unveiled in China on April 25th. Last year, The predecessor Honor 10 was introduced in China in April and got launched in international markets in May. The schedule may be quite the same this year too.

The key specs mentioned in the for Honor 20 are 6.1-inch OLED display supporting a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Kirin 980 processor, 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB gigabytes of internal storage. The handset comes with a 3650mAh battery that also supports a 22.5-watt fast charge.

Honor 20's Triple rear camera setup is referred to be based on a 48-megapixel main sensor, together with a 20MP ultra-wide and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The resolution of the front camera would be 32 megapixels.


Honor 20 Pro, on the other hand, would have a quad camera setup with an additional 3D ToF camera. The main camera is said to be a 40 megapixels sensor, and could quite be the same as the one used in Huawei P30 or P30 Pro. What remains to be seen is, if Honor uses the same RYBY pixel array with yellow pixels that makes the P30 Pro camera much praised for its low light shooting.

Compared to the Honor View 20 smartphone, the new Honor 20 series is creating more buzz probably due to the OLED display and an in-screen fingerprint reader. In addition, the Honor 20 phones are also rumored to have a small notch on the screen for the front camera instead of a big camera hole. There are significant other differences including the most noticeable optical zoom offer by the upcoming honor 20 series.
