ZTE Nubia A36 Lands in Pakistan with a Massive 90Hz Display & 13MP AI Dual Camera

ZTE has released another budget device in Pakistan. The Nubia A36 is one of the few devices at this price that can offer a 90Hz refresh rate and a 6.75” IPS display. It arrives locally with a single 4/64GB variant, but the company provides both storage and virtual RAM expansion. Here’s everything you should know about the Nubia A36.

The expanded camera island is now in trend after Apple dropped its iPhone 17 Pro series. ZTE tries to mimic that look with the A36 but sticks to its roots in the overall shape of the device. You get an 8.3mm thick chassis and a flat frame, painted in Titanium Gold and Aqua Green finishes.

The screen is a notched IPS panel. It is diagonally measured at 6.75 inches, which is a decent size. It’s not the sharpest display in the world with its 720p HD+ resolution, but you do get a 90Hz refresh rate with this panel. That’s a rare quality for a device at this price.

Sadly, there’s no fingerprint reader on the ZTE new budget mobile, so you might need to rely on patterns/pins and face scans for security. The battery on this device is a typical 5000mAh cell that refills at 10W. The company guarantees 800 cycles with maximum health retention. It will remain usable for at least three years.

SGS tested this device for a 50-month fluency rating. The chipset A36 uses is a Unisoc T7200 (12 nm) SoC with a 1.6GHz clock speed and Mali G57 GPU. It provides eMMC storage speeds to the device, which puts this phone in the lower-entry-tier category.

The built-in 64GB storage is expandable through a microSD card. That makes extra room for pictures and videos taken on the phone’s 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. There’s a single loudspeaker on the Nubia A36 and a 3.5mm audio port at the bottom.

The newcomer covers the basics with a standard 2.4GHz WiFi card and a USB-C 2.0 with no OTG support. It also has the latest Android 15 system with a Live Island 2.0 and Nubia AI suite for some extra helpful tools for assistance. Nubia A36 (4/64GB) only costs Rs 18,999 in Pakistan, which is an absolute bargain.
