Xiaomi Poco M7 4G Now Official with Snapdragon 685 and 7000mAh Battery

Poco M7 4G was launched moments ago to join the existing set. This is the cheapest model released after the Poco M7 Pro, M7 Plus, and M7 5G. The SoC on this newcomer doesn’t impress, though it stacks well with other siblings when it comes to battery size. Here’s all you need to know about the only 4G member in the series.

It’s built around a Snapdragon 685 chip, which is a few years old at this point. It has aged pretty well since it offers a 2.8GHz clock speed on the Cortex A73 core and a 1000MHz Adreno 610 GPU. By today’s standards, it falls in the entry to mid-tier categories.

It continues the modest approach to performance with its 6GB RAM and 128GB initial storage combo. Paying more gets you 8GB and 256GB. Of course, if you buy the former, the phone’s SD card slot should help you expand the storage by up to 2TB.

The 6.9” screen on its front is 1080p and based on IPS technology. The key focus for this display is a high 288Hz touch response and a whopping 144Hz refresh rate, which is rarely offered on a liquid crystal display. 850nits of peak brightness level gives you above-average readability under the sun.

Another thing that stood out to us is the 7000mAh battery on the Xiaomi Poco new model. It’s wired to a 33W charging kit. Sadly, the adapter isn’t bundled with the phone (for Europe only). Thickness might be a factor at 8.6mm, but you get exceptional battery life in exchange.

As for the camera, a run-of-the-mill 50MP main (wide) lens awaits you on the LTE Poco M7. It can do HDR shots and 1080p 30FPS videos. There’s a single speaker at the bottom, a fingerprint reader on the side, an NFC kit, an Infrared port, and many other options.

An IP64 rating covers the phone with splash and dust resistance, which is getting increasingly popular at the entry-level. Best of all, you land directly on Xiaomi’s Hyper OS 2 at first boot. The Poco M7 4G released in Poland doesn’t have a price tag or a proper schedule for a wider release yet. We have ears to the ground for any new developments in that vein. Keep watching the news so you don’t miss anything.
