Xiaomi Poco F8 Pro Clears NBTC Certification on its Way to an Early Global Launch

Poco’s F8 series will launch soon. From what we’ve been hearing lately, its launch will be staggered. Only two out of three devices will make the initial debut. Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra have been found in leaks many times in the past few weeks. Now the Pro model has passed Thailand’s NBTC certification. It’s probably headed for an early launch.

The Poco F7 lineup just came out. Only seven months have passed since their arrival. But Poco seems eager to launch the next set of devices. That’s the reason we are seeing the certifications this early. Just last month, we saw the F8 Ultra visit the NBTC. And today, the F8 Pro has been cleared by the same platform.

The older Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra models weren’t even acknowledged by the certifiers until March, right before the big reveal. That makes this news even more curious. The question on everyone’s mind right now: Is Xiaomi going for an early launch this year with Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra?

Thailand’s NBTC usually clears the devices one month before their launch. So, we won’t be surprised if the Poco F8 duo lands early by the end of 2025. The documentation from this platform is usually bare bones. Same as ever, it only spilled the latest Xiaomi Poco mobile’s model number, which is Poco 2510DPC44G.

The phone has been leaking for a while, and it’s being reported as a rebranded Redmi K90. That’s all the info we need to ascertain the rest of Poco F8 Pro’s specifications. The hardware they share may not be exactly one-to-one, but a huge portion will be identical.

Redmi K90 is already out in China, by the way. It’s a good-looking phone with the camera island extended all the way to the right edge — something they’ve picked up from Apple. The screen upfront is 6.59” OLED, and its refresh rate is 120Hz. Its brightness ranges from 1nit to 3500nits.

The battery on this handset is 7100mAh — one of its better qualities. Redmi K90 can do fast wired charging at 100W, and it has a fast 22.5W reverse wired output. It’s a flagship phone and runs a Snapdragon 8 Elite at 4.32GHz clock speed. We’ll soon start seeing the teasers for Poco F8 Pro. Hopefully, they’ll verify how close these two devices are in terms of specs. Keep watching the news.
