Meet Xiaomi’s answer to the Apple iPad Pro, the Mi Pad 5. With some features like that of Xiaomi Mi 11, it’s an upcoming line of high-end flagship tablets, featuring no less than three models. We have the product images and specifications to report.

Courtesy of folks over at XDA Developers, we learned that Xiaomi designed a new tablet-based interface for the Mi Pad 5 — start menu, dual-screen, and multi-window drag-and-drop modes. Based on information buried in the MIUI 12.5 code, the three Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 variants are code-named ‘nabu,’ ‘enuma,’ and ‘elish.’ This trio could launch as Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Plus, and Mi Pad 5 Pro.

These tablets feature a square 16:10 aspect ratio. The ‘nabu’ model has a 10.97” IPS LCD panel that delivers a QHD+ resolution, a fluid refresh rate of 120Hz, and an ultra-responsive 240Hz refresh rate. An even, rounded bezel encases the screen.

The frame of the New Xiaomi Mobile is made of aluminum, with a side-facing thumbprint reader etched into it. It’s 8.13mm deep and weighs 519g. Much of that weight comes from the massive 8520 mAh battery, split into two 4260 mAh cells. The battery specifications come from a 3C certification that the Mi Pad 5 recently cleared.

Unlike the Mi Pad 4, this year’s slates will use flagship chips — either the Snapdragon 865 or its overclocked variants and MediaTek Dimensity 1200.

Oddly enough, Xiaomi is going the extra mile on the camera setup too. The Mi Pad 5 has a triple-lens array that’s a perfect match for the Xiaomi Mi 11 design. It’s rumored to be a 20MP+13MP system.
