This is a low-end device with 5G support. Vivo Y6t was released in China today with a forgotten Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. This is the cheapest SoC Qualcomm makes that unlocks 5G support on Android. Vivo Y6t also has a decent battery and Android 16 from the get-go.
This is an entry-level device for all intents and purposes. There is usually some bonus performance on the table when a budget phone ships with a 5G chip. But that’s not the case here. Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 has a weak CPU of 2.2 GHz boost clock and an Adreno 613 GPU.
The endurance is a mixed bag. Vivo Y6t has a 6500mAh battery. This will give you more than 24 hours of backup, though the refills are expected to be pretty slow. Only a 15W input is supported by the cell. It’s not a Si/C battery either, so you get an 8.39 mm frame and 209g weight.
It’s a 2026 release, so of course, the Y6t has Android 16 as the default OS with Origin OS 6 as the UI. The screen on this handset is a 6.74” IPS LCD that caps the resolution to HD+ or 720p. Yes, the visuals are soft, but the newcomer makes up for it with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the screen has a notch that melts into the panel. There’s a 5MP selfie shooter inside it. Over on the other side, two lenses are found, but only one of them is a functioning camera. The main sensor is 13MP. Apparently, this setup can do 1080p video at 30 FPS front and back.
There’s 8GB LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM here, which is pretty common. But what’s not so common is UFS 3.1 Type storage. This Y6t has a faster built-in 128GB NAND. At least the app opening will be snappy, as far as the processor allows it.
By the way, its safety rating is IP65, dust and waterproof. And you have an SGS 5-star shockproof build. There’s a side fingerprint ID for privacy. It also has an infrared remote and a 3.5mm Audio jack. The base Vivo Y6t (6/128GB) costs CNY 1,699 (~PKR 69,000).
