Vivo wrapped up the Y300 series in May and unveiled the Y400 Pro just a few weeks ago. The brand is currently working on the basic Vivo Y400 5G. The lineup’s arrival in Pakistan is still a mystery, though the “Pro” has already entered a few Asian markets. On the other hand, we have just started seeing novela Y400 in leaks, and here’s what we know.
A new leak from 91Mobiles suggests the Vivo Y400 5G will arrive in early August. There will be two color options for this model, likely Olive Green and Glam White finishes. The cheaper Vivo phones usually lack color variety, which means these are probably the only two shades for this device.
The same leak also hinted at an AMOLED display for the Y400 5G, which will carry the usual punch hole top and a 120Hz refresh rate. These specs are common across the board, but the reports didn’t say anything about the size and resolution of the screen.
There were no specifics about the device or the renders to show its design, but 91Mobiles did give away its expected price tag. Vivo’s Y400 Pro version was officially released at ~$290, and the non-Pro variant should be priced a notch below. Per the leak, Vivo’s latest Y model might cost ~$232.
With a few bucks off, it’s fair to assume the newcomer will closely follow the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G in terms of specs. This variant has a 6.77” AMOLED, curved design, and all the bells and whistles of a premium display. You have a 120Hz refresh rate here, 1080p resolution, and 4500nits brightness.
They gave the Pro model a Dimensity 7300 chip and a maximum of 8GB RAM to boot the Android 15 system. There’s an IP65 rating on this device, but no screen protection of any kind. For all intents and purposes, it’s a mid-range device, but we do admire its premium design and a rather impressive display.
The camera on the front is 32MP, and the rear shooter provides a 50MP sensor on the Vivo Y400 Pro. Its 5500mAh battery is pretty basic, but it does have 90W wired charging for speedy refills. The base Vivo Y400 should mirror some, if not all, of the specs on the Pro counterpart. Its launch is just around the corner, so stay tuned for the official teasers, which might drop any day now.
