Vivo introduced the Vivo Y30 for the Pakistani market earlier today at an unbelievably affordable Vivo price tag — following a brief promotional campaign. The Y30 is a lower-mid-ranger, crafted with a focus on design (the Pakistani edition comes in a brand-new color too) and performance.
Vivo Y30 smartphone’s design is its most eye-catching aspect, so let’s start there. You’re looking a flowing, gleaming rear-facing panel — neatly chamfered around the edges, and curved around the corners.
A rounded rectangular bump juts out this shell, containing a quad-camera and an LED flash. Placed right next to it is a standard fingerprint scanner.
You can pick the new Y30 by Vivo from Emerald Black (the newly-introduced variant) and Moonstone White. The former is elegant, with a sunburst pattern originating from under its camera island (which itself is painted in a deep black). In contrast, the latter has a softer shade (extending well into its camera housing), and a melting design to it.
A MediaTek Helio P35 mobile platform handles processing while drawing power from a 5,000 mAh battery. The battery of Vivo Y30, although a beast, charges over a USB Type-C port without any support for fast charging. As per the phone’s official listing, you can get at least nine hours of online gaming before you have to recharge.
Speaking of gaming, you can toggle the Vivo ‘Multi-Turbo 3.0’ to enhance performance in general, and the ‘Ultra Game Mode’ on the new Y30 for more seamless, immersive gaming. The feature intelligently learns your behavior to auto-adjust key settings.
Vivo Y30 ships with the latest Funtouch OS 10 (based on Android 10) onboard, which Vivo has tweaked with features like the Hydration reminder, iManager, Dynamic Screen effects, and Jovi assistant. The so-called ‘iView’ display stretches 6.47” from corner to corner, while delivering a screen resolution of 1560x720 and a screen-to-body ratio that reaches 90.7%. The screen has a tiny punch hole and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The rear-camera uses four different lenses: a 13MP + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (bokeh), while the front-camera embeds a modest 8MP sensor.
For now, It’s only available in a 4GB + 64GB configuration, starting at Rs. 27,999 but we expect the 4GB + 128GB Y30 variant to arrive soon with an expected price tag of 31,999 PKR.
