Vivo's esteemed Y-series is welcoming a new member to their family. A phone dubbed Vivo Y22 just got certified on the Geekbench platform hinting towards an imminent launch, alongside the long-awaited Vivo Y35. The listing reveals several things about the upcoming Y22 that we are about to share here.

Newcomer Vivo Y22 initially got flagged on TKDN (an Indonesian certification database website), which officialized the moniker Vivo Y22 under model number V2207. The same title popped up on the Geekbench Benchmark website revealing its RAM capacity and processor specifications.

Ascertaining from the image, we can confirm the usage of 4GB memory. The name of the CPU is ARMMT6769V/CZ. The picture doesn't exactly reveal the CPU's make and model, but a simple google search will tell you that it's an Helio G85 processor from MediaTek.

Helio G85 is an octa-core CPU. The Vivo budget new model has two performance cores clocked at 2.00 GHz and six efficiency cores running at 1.8 GHz. There's an integrated Arm Mali-G52 GPU to handle those graphics.

Helio G85 is a sweet spot for budget segment phones like Vivo Y22. The phone supports Android version 12 — skinned Funtouch OS 12 right out of the box. Geekbench gave it a 339 score for single core performance, while multicore performance secured 1220. Vivo Y22 will undoubtedly give you a smooth performance.

While other specifications remain a rumor, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) verified the display size of 6.44-inch used on the Vivo Y22. They also mentioned two body paints for this phone, Summer Cyan, and Starlight Blue. We are working to reveal some more info about its battery, camera, storage, etc. So stay tuned for that.
