Vivo Y200 Pro Scores Certifications Ahead of Launch; Might be a Rebranded Vivo V29e

The company will soon expand its Y200 series with the upcoming Vivo Y200 Pro. Following the release of the Y200 last October, the company unveiled the Y200e not long ago in February. While the Pro moniker might suggest premium features, we advise keeping your expectations in check. The Y200 Pro might not have the high-end specifications it implies.

The Y200 Pro has recently secured two certifications, including Bluetooth SIG certification and approval for sale in an overseas market from BIS. It indicates that the device will be available globally. With that out of the way, let’s jump into the details spilled by those certifications.

Based on one of the model numbers associated with the Y200 Pro in the certifications, there's a strong possibility that the device could be a rebranded or slightly modified version of the Vivo V29e, which debuted in October 2023.

If this speculation holds, the Y200 Pro may boast a 6.67-inch 1080x2400 120Hz AMOLED touchscreen with a peak brightness of 1,150 nits. Under the hood, the latest 5G Vivo mobile could feature the Snapdragon 695 chipset, accompanied by 8 or 12GB of RAM. Aligning with V29e, the newcomer’s camera will be its specialty.

Camera-wise, users may expect a 64MP primary rear camera with the Y200 Pro, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP selfie shooter. Additionally, the device could draw power from a 4,800 mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging.

While Vivo's penchant for rebranding remains a mystery, the Y200 Pro will likely debut in the coming weeks since Vivo phones usually launch a month after their Bluetooth SIG certification. Stay tuned for more updates as we learn further about this upcoming member of the Y200 series.
