Vivo seems to be churning out one Y-series phone after another this season. The latest in this line of entry-level smartphones is the Vivo Y15s that just got debuted in two Asian markets, the Philippines and Singapore. Let’s meet the Vivo Y12s successor, a pocket-friendly Android phone.

The phone has a lightweight footprint: a body that weighs only 179g and measures 8.28mm in thickness. The Vivo Y15s is crafted from plastic and finished in a line texture, available in Wave Green and Mystic Blue. Two lenses and an LED flash are housed inside the squarish camera bump. The fingerprint scanner is merged with the side power button for convenient access.

Vivo Price in Pakistan 2021

Outside of their pleasing designs, Vivo’s cheap phones are rarely remarkable. The MediaTek Helio P35 chipset at the heart of Vivo Y15s came out in 2018. So it already feels out of place in 2021. Android 11 Go Edition, a reduced version of the OS built for low-end hardware, powers this chip.

The dual camera features a 13MP camera with a tiny f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, we find an 8MP selfie camera. You can shoot in time-lapse, macro, and Pro modes but the engine inside the Vivo Y15s isn’t modern enough to run night mode on either camera.

All of this is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. It can’t fast charge, but the Y15s can reverse-charge other devices. The USB interface is the almost-obsolete micro-USB. The display is a generic 6.51” IPS LCD that delivers a 720P resolution. It comes in a single 3GB+32GB edition. The new Y15s carries a Vivo mobile price tag of SGD 179 or about Rs. 22,700.
