Vivo hasn’t launched a compact flagship device in ages, but lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about a small form-factor phone dubbed “Vivo X200 FE.” The company finally broke its silence today and confirmed that this FE variant is getting a worldwide launch on June 23rd.
Mere moments ago, Vivo Global updated its website with an official product listing for the phone. That’s where we found the “coming soon” poster for the handset. It says 6/23 right there on the banner, which likely means that the compact phone will go official on June 23rd, this Monday.
Taiwan will be the first country to receive the Vivo X200 FE, and it will be shipped to other regions within the following weeks. It plans to hit the stage earlier than we anticipated, likely to get a headstart on the Poco F7 that’s launching just a day later on June 24th.
This Vivo X200 FE may not be an original device. There’s a chance that it could just be a rebranded “Vivo S30 Pro Mini,” which is exclusive to the Chinese market. They have identical designs and probably the same specifications, with just one exception. The new flagship Vivo mobile gets a Zeiss treatment for the cameras.
If these phones turn out to be identical, we can look forward to a 6.31” AMOLED LTPO display on the X200 FE. This small form-factor phone will not only have a variable 120Hz refresh rate but also a peak 5000nits brightness and 1.5k resolution.
There will be an Android 15 FunTouch OS running on this phone out of the box, and the chipset inside it will likely be the Dimensity 9300+ clocked at 3.4GHz. The S30 Pro Mini carries a 6500mAh battery, which is miraculous for its size. Since the X200 FE shares the same design, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t have the same size battery.
The phone gets a 90W backup to refill the cell. Its camera setup isn’t too shabby either, with a 50MP IMX921 sensor under the Main lens and a 50MP IMX882 telephoto sensor for the 3X optical zoom camera. The third lens outside the main camera housing could be an 8MP ultrawide unit. Vivo X200 FE will be unveiled on June 23rd — we’ll know the rest of its details then. Stay tuned for the full review.
