Vivo Introduces Vivo V19 Neo, Another Camera-minded and Design-first Vivo

Vivo released the Vivo V19 in Indonesia earlier in March this year, and then followed up with its namesake — the Vivo V19, the global version featuring a dual front camera. The global edition made a debut in Pakistan recently at flagship point Vivo prices. With its launch wrapped up, Vivo has renamed the Indonesian V19 to V19 Neo and introduced it to other Asian markets (hopefully Pakistan too).

Vivo V19 Neo has a modern 20:9 aspect ratio, a 91.38% screen-to-body ratio, a punch-hole in the corner, and minimal bezels all around. Called the ‘Ultra O’ display, this Super AMOLED screen stretches 6.44” across, delivering an FHD+ resolution. Embedded inside it, is an ‘In-Display’ fingerprint reader.

Technical specifications aside, the V19 Neo has a trendy, gorgeous look to it. The camera matrix is spread out in an L-style layout; the edges are chamfered for a comfortable grip — presenting a polished, gleaming design available in Crystal White and Admiral Blue.

The blue edition wears a duo-tone gradient, and the black camera island contrasts nicely against the striking blue.

Vivo V19 Neo’s camera, as always, is the highlight here. The array holds four cameras: a 48MP main camera, an 8MP super-wide lens, a 2MP maco camera, and a 2MP depth lens. For detailed, sharp selfies, the front-facing camera has a 32MP sensor underneath.

The wide-angle camera extends your FoV by 120°, while the macro lens lets you take close-ups with a 4cm focus. For low light shots, toggle the ‘Super Night Mode’ on to use Vivo’s advanced noise reduction, portrait, HDR, and frame-merging technology.

The performance, however, leaves something to be desired. Powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB, the V19 Neo might not be the leading contender in its price bracket — at least in terms of pure number-crunching. The phone is backed up by a 4,500 mAh battery and Vivo’s proprietary 18W Dual-Engine fast charging.

In a similar line to its mobile platform, the V19 Neo boots to the previous-gen Funtouch OS 9.2 (based on Android 9). It’s retailing for PHP 17,999 (59,000 PKR).
