The Upcoming Vivo iQOO 3 Spotted in real life Live Shots; Might Launch Outside of China

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has been offering performance-oriented gaming phones to its iQOO 3 domestic markets. Its portfolio exclusively features Snapdragon 8-series chipsets with beefy amounts of RAM, and the next addition to this lineup -- the iQOO 3 has allegedly been photographed in leaked live shots.

Previous leaks had already given us some of the key details, but more importantly, speculation has it that iQOO might be preparing to expand their operations outside of China. The reports indicate that the upcoming Vivo iQOO 3 might make a debut in India. A series of hashtags and posts published on Twitter certainly seem to lend this speculation credibility.

As the pictures reveal, you’re looking at a punch-hole-toting phone the report claims is an iQOO 3. The phone alongside it, with its punch-hole placed on the top-left corner, is either the Oppo Find X2 or the Oppo Reno 3.

As per the source, you’re looking at a 6.44-inch SuperAMOLED panel that embeds a fingerprint reader underneath. Vivo has already used the screen for a handful of their models. But since the display has an in-screen fingerprint scanner, it may very well be an OLED panel.

On its spine, right next to the power button, Vivo iQOO 3 will have a dedicated key for the Jovi voice assistant.

Apparently, the IQOO 3 runs on a Snapdragon 865 chipset, powered by a 4,4100 mAh battery that supports 55W fast-charging. The SD 865 SoC has a 5G modem baked into it, which would make the iQOO 3 the second iQOO model to offer 5G support after iQOO Pro.

The optics details are scarce along with the expected Vivo prices, but the phone will feature a quad-camera setup equipped with a 48-megapixel primary shooter. While this spec sheet does fall in line with the typical iQOO offerings, rumors suggest that iQOO 3 will be a performance-first device but it won’t exclusively cater to the gaming community. And, of course, the hardware will be powered by an Android-10-based FunTouch OS 9.
