Samsung Galaxy S25 and S24 Devices Now Receiving Stable One UI 8.5 Update

The Beta testing is over for the One UI 8.5. They are now pushing out the stable One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 and S24 series. The phones from these two lineups are receiving One UI 8.5 in Korea right now, and it usually takes them around two weeks to begin the global updates. This is everything you need to know.

The list is pretty long for the devices intended for One UI 8.5. In the initial phase at least, they are trying to update as many flagship devices as possible. That includes the flagship Galaxy Tab S10 and S11 lines. Of course, the Flip and Fold devices are also on the first list.

They are keeping the Galaxy A series on the sidelines for now. Anyway, we’ve kept tabs on the beta updates for several months, so the contents of the updates look familiar to us. Samsung has just announced the One UI 8.5 update rollout through its Newsroom page.

Nothing official was said about the update itself, but they did provide a full list of Latest Samsung 5G mobiles chosen for the May update cycle. And grabbing the update would be pretty simple when the global market starts receiving the One UI 8.5. You start with the manual update check.

There’s a menu in the Settings app called Software Updates. Tap, and you’ll see a Check for Updates button. This links to Samsung servers to see if there’s an OTA package available. Any available updates will show up after the quick scan. The option to download and install the One UI 8.5 update will appear in the same menu.

We do recommend going through the Changelog to see what changes have been made to the new firmware. Consider this news the beginning of a long update cycle ahead. We’ll try to keep you in the loop with every device that receives One UI 8.5. So stay tuned for future posts.
