Samsung Galaxy A36 Users Start Receiving One UI 8 x Android 16 Update Globally

One UI 8 on Galaxy A36 started deployment in Korea a few days ago, and now it has gone international. The stable update is reaching the A36 devices all over Europe and Turkey. A user from one of those countries shared a screenshot that confirms the package details and firmware code.

This is a massive upgrade with Android 16 core and the new One UI 8 skin. Samsung also includes the September 2025 security patch here, so the download package is sizable. It will cost roughly 2.3GB of data; therefore, a stable WiFi connection is recommended.

Now that the second round of the One UI 8 update cycle has begun in the international market, Pakistani Galaxy A36 devices shouldn’t be far behind. The firmware package currently rolling out in Europe and Turkey can be identified with the code “A366BXXU4BYI7.”

A leaker on X shared a screenshot of the changelog and software details. The September patch fixes some immediate security issues, but the update mainly focuses on new features and software tuning. Samsung sticks to the basics and deploys the new Google privacy features to the Android 16 core.

Then we have the One UI 8 skin on top. The update breathes new life into the user interface with several more customization options. We also have some new accessibility features here. Communication, health tracking, imaging, multitasking, productivity, and file sharing have also been optimized for better performance on the Samsung new A models.

If that’s not enough, One UI 8 introduces a more intuitive UI for Quick Share. The improvements are sprinkled throughout the system, especially in stock apps like Alarm, Calendar, and Reminder. Galaxy AI enhancements are minimal, though. You can access the update in a few quick steps.

You can manually check for updates by visiting the Settings >> Software Update menu. This will let you know if the update is available on your phone. Once Samsung unlocks the One UI 8 update in our region, you can press “Download and Install” to begin the process. After the 2.3GB download and a quick reboot, your Galaxy A36 will welcome you to the latest One UI 8 system.
