Xiaomi, the parent company of Redmi, delivered the news of a phone with the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 64-megapixel lens much earlier this month. It is now evident that the said smartphone was none other than the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the company has now officially confirmed that it will be unveiled on August 29.

Although the full specs aren't out yet, we'll do with whatever we can gather. The Redmi Note 8 Pro steers with a 6.49-inch AMOLED display, offering you a dynamic experience with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and a pixel density of 403 PPI.

Weibo, the Chinese social network was provided with a poster by Redmi that indicated three cameras aligned vertically at the rear, with an additional fourth sensor on the right, just below the LED flash. These vertical cameras offer a stunning look to the phone and it is now confirmed that the main camera is a 64-megapixel lens.

Redmi Note 8 Pro is rumored to be powered by MediaTek Helio G90T gaming-centric processor. Fans will be disappointed to know that the smartphone does not have an in-display fingerprint reader, as claimed before and rather a normal reader on the back settling right below the main cameras.

The internal hardware is appreciable along with 5,000mAh battery with 18W quick charge to give some relief to fans. Although, what may trouble people is that the phone has a hybrid SIM slot, tagged along with its eccentric features. Nevertheless, we'll receive the complete details about the Redmi Note 8 Pro by next week on the launch, so stay tuned for more updates.
