Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus is getting ready for launch. The company already announced the release schedule for the Pro series. And just a few moments ago, a teaser dropped on Weibo to officially confirm a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip for this newcomer.
Xiaomi’s subbrand has been pretty active lately on social media. The most recent teaser on Weibo claims the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus to be the first-ever device, rocking a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip. And apparently, it’s planted underneath an ice-sealed 5200mm² cooling chamber to prevent it from thermal throttling.
We’ve already seen this chip in action on Geekbench, where it was able to yield decent 1228 and 3230 points on single/multicore tests. This new SoC has the same cluster size and architecture as the SD 7s Gen 3, but it’s overclocked to a 2.71GHz clock speed.
Another teaser has confirmed its battery size. Redmi new flagship mobile brings a titan 7000mAh cell that can be recharged at a 90W fast wired input. The battery is so insanely huge that it can be turned into a makeshift power bank with a 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Its display stats were also revealed in the social media posts. This phone is huge with almost nonexistent bezels. The screen you see on the front is AMOLED with a 6.83” diagonal size and 1.5K resolution. They advertise it with a max 3200nits brightness and Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass.
There are two speakers under the display with symmetrical audio, tweaked for a 400% loudness profile. Redmi didn’t hide anything from users. Even the camera details and image samples have surfaced before its official launch. Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus seems to have a flagship-grade camera.
The main lens seems to carry a 50MP OmniVision sensor that gives you a lossless zoom in 24mm and 48mm focal ranges. The second lens uses a proper telephoto 2.5X zoomer with a 60mm range, backed by a Light Hunter 800 sensor from OmnVision. The rest of its specs will come out at launch. Keep watching the news.
