Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Global Version Leaked; Reveals Camera & Battery Changes

Redmi Note 15 series China launch wrapped up, and now we await the global debut. All three devices will eventually deploy outside the home market, some with identical specs and others with slight tweaks. Redmi Note 15 Pro+ falls into the latter category, as speculations point to a slightly worse camera setup and a smaller battery.

A leaker on X talks about the battery and camera on Redmi’s Note 15 Pro+ global version. @paperking13 found its internal specs in the firmware source code. Apparently, it cuts the battery to 6500mAh and amplifies the charging to 100 watts. For context, the original Chinese version has a 7000mAh cell and 90W input.

Another change worth pointing out is the lack of a telephoto shooter. That’s right! Xiaomi has gone back to its old pattern here. We saw the same thing happen with the Note 14 Pro Plus, where they omitted the 50 telephoto on the global version and swapped out the 50MP Main lens with a 200MP sensor.

The company believes a lossless zoom from a 200MP camera makes up for the optical zoom. That’s true in some use cases, but portrait shots never look the same. Redmi new flagship mobile might pair that alpha unit with an 8MP ultrawide, but we won’t see a macro shooter this time.

From what the leaker exposed, the main piece chosen by Redmi is the HPE, and Poco M8 Pro goes for an OVX8000 outsole. The Ultrawide sensor is OV08F across all the regions, and the OV50M telephoto goes to the Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+ exclusively.

Major changes have been shown by the leaker already, but what about the rest of its specs? If we look at the old pattern, it’s safe to assume nothing else is changing. It will stick with the same 6.83” AMOLED 120Hz with 3200 nits peak luminance.

The newcomer’s default Android 15 system will be handled by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (4nm) SoC. Stereo speakers, WiFi 6, and Optical fingerprint may also exist on the global Note 15 Pro+. This is merely a speculation, but once we have the verified details, you’ll be the first to know. Keep following us on social media, and visit our daily news portal for more updates.
