Realme expands its 12 series smartphone lineup by introducing the Realme 12X. It offers impressive specifications at an affordable price point. While currently launched in China, the device will likely make its global debut soon, following the trend set by its predecessors.

At the heart of the Realme 12X lies the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, a lower mid-range SoC featuring eight cores. With 12GB of RAM, the phone ensures smooth performance even with resource-intensive applications. Users can augment the RAM capacity using the Virtual RAM feature, offering an additional 12GB.

Storage options are generous, with the base variant offering 256 GB and the top variant boasting 512 GB. The device flaunts a 6.67-inch LCD screen with a peak brightness rating of 625 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate so users can enjoy a seamless user experience.

In the camera department, the Realme 12X features an 8MP selfie shooter on the front and a dual-camera setup on the back. The primary sensor boasts a solid 50MP resolution and a 2MP depth sensor. Due to the lack of high-end processing, the Realme flagship new mobile caps its video recording at 1080p.

Additional highlights include a standard 5,000 mAh battery supporting 15W wired charging, resulting in extended usage without frequent recharges. The device also boasts IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance and sports a lightweight body for enhanced portability.

Pricing for the Realme 12X starts at CNY 1,399 (~USD 194/PKR 54,000) for the base model and CNY 1,599 (~USD 222/PKR 62,000) for the variant with 512 GB of storage. However, these prices are part of an introductory offer and might stretch after the promotional phase. Other regions might also receive the device at slightly higher costs.
