Oppo A96 is a recently-announced midrange phone. It debuted as a China-first model but Oppo has started rolling it out to select global markets. The new Oppo A76's sibling has already dropped in the Middle East. Trusted sources inform WhatMobile that the A96 is now headed to Pakistan.

Oppo hasn't made the official announcements yet. But, per our inside sources, the Oppo A96 will be available in Pakistan from March 24. We’ll briefly review what this phone has to offer.

Starting with the performance, the Oppo A96 charges over 33W of power. It’s advertised to deliver a 50% recharge in just 26 minutes. The 5000 mAh battery inside the phone should easily survive all-day use. Oppo has also built AI protection protocols into the USB port to ensure safe charging.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is the engine inside the new Oppo A mobile. The octa-core CPU of the A96 is clocked at 2.4GHz and paired with 8GB of memory and 256GB of internal storage. Lastly, ColorOS 11.1 x Android 11 powers the hardware.

The Oppo A96 screen has an O-hole cutout in the corner, containing a 16MP front camera. We’re looking at a 6.59” IPS LCD that peaks at 90Hz in refresh rate and 1080P in resolution. The display can hit 600 nits of brightness and respond at 180Hz touch sampling.

We find a dual camera on the back, 50MP f/1.8 wide and 2MP portrait lenses. Oppo A96 can shoot in Night, Expert, Portrait, and Extra HD modes. The casing is chamfered around the edges and comes in Starry Black and Sunset Blue. It’s rated IP5X for tougher durability.
