Oppo A7 Pro Max has gone official in China as of today. And just like they advertised, it really does have a 10,000mAh cell. It’s their first phone with such a large battery pack. Of course, the A7 Pro Max is also said to have the best camera setup in the A series so far. This is everything you need to know about this newcomer.
It’s clear that endurance was the main priority for the Oppo A7 Pro Max. The cell is quite large, of course, at 10,000mAh. It’s not an ordinary figure. Their labs tested the battery for 1,500 cycles until it fell under 80% health. And, apparently, CQC passed it for 7 years of longevity.
80W fast charging brick will give backup to the Oppo latest A model. The same Type-C port can output 27W reverse wired charging, so you can replenish other electronics. 10,000mAh battery basically works as a makeshift power bank on the Oppo phone.
Enough talk about the battery. It’s also a very durable phone. IP69K rating means water sprays and pressure jets won’t damage the A7 Pro Max even if they are 85°C hot. This newcomer has the official 1.8m drop safety rating as well from SGS. It also passed an aging smoothness test in labs (7-year smoothness rating).
This newcomer does have 12GB RAM, and that memory is either bundled with 256GB or 512GB storage. The very base model has 8/128GB memory only. Whatever option you pick, the storage will be more than enough for photos and videos taken from its two 50MP cameras.
The 50MP selfie camera has the potential to put the Oppo A7 Pro Max on the map, since it’s a 100° FoV ultrawide lens, which is a rare feature. The rear camera is also a 50MP sensor, but its aperture is larger, and it has OIS for better stability. Both sides will do 1080p recording.
The limiting factor is possibly the chipset. Oppo A7 Pro Max is built around a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip. LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage modules are used on the handset, which explains why the UI is snappy. The default OS is Android 16 x ColorOS 16.
Its display is a premium one. Apparently, there’s a 6.78” Flexible AMOLED on the Oppo A7 Pro Max at 1.5K resolution. And the pixels are pushed at a 120Hz rate. The peak brightness on isolated spots will hit 1800nits. All this hardware is packaged in an 8.57mm thick frame. The phone’s base price, by the way, is CNY 2,199 (~PKR 90,000). Bump that to CNY 2,999 (~PKR 123,000) for the maxed-out 12/512GB kit.
