Yesterday saw the release of Oppo A92s and Oppo Find X2 Lite. And keeping its string of launches going, Oppo has introduced the long-rumored Oppo A52 in China today. The company hasn't commented on the global release yet, but the A52 starts at an affordable oppo price tag of CNY 1,599 or about 37,000 PKR.

Let's talk design first. You get a punch-hole cut-out inside the OPPO A52 display, accompanied by a quad-camera arranged in an L-shaped fashion on the back.

The front panel of the latest A-series smartphone is flat, with its modern-looking minimal bezels all around. It measures 6.5 inches, produces an FHD+ resolution and a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio.

A side-mounted thumbprint reader rests on the polycarbonate frame of A52. The rear-shell is plastic as well and has a glossy finish available in solid Black and sky blue gradients. You'll also find light streaks originating from under the camera island, that complete the polar-sky-inspired look.

The selfie camera inside the punch hole has an 8MP sensor behind it. The four-lens setup on the back of Oppo A52 features a modest 12MP shooter, rounded off by an 8MP secondary camera (a 119-degree ultra-wide module), and a pair of 2MP portrait sensors. The main camera has a larger-than-average f/1.7 aperture, so it should deliver crisp shots, even in low light conditions.

The entire ensemble can shoot in 4K, stabilized with an algorithm. Night photography can be further tweaked, with Oppo's 'Ultra-clear Night Scene 2.0' that adjusts the dynamic range as per the prevailing ambient light.

As for the internals of A52 by Oppo responsible for the performance, you're looking at a previous-gen Snapdragon 665 platform, hooked up to a 5,000 mAh battery with support 18W fast charging. Its only variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Oppo A52 also uses the 'Hyper Boost performance engine' to deliver a seamless gaming experience. The hardware, of course, runs on the latest Android-10-based ColorOS 7.1.

The phone has hit the stores in China already and Oppo prices the A52 more competitively at just 1599 CNY (37,000 PKR). Speculation has it that it might arrive in Singapore, Indonesia, and India (and possibly Pakistan) soon.
