Oppo A5 2020 Gets an Attractive Discount in Pakistan, now available for Rs. 31,999

Oppo’s mid-range portfolio is nothing short of impressive, and the Oppo A5 2020 launched back in September this year is a prime example. You get a gorgeous design, a great quad-camera, and a beefy battery, for a reasonably competitive price tag. And as per the latest price slash by the Chinese manufacturer, that price tag just got more attractive.

Oppo A5 2020 was initially retailing for 34,999 PKR, but it will now be available for 31,999 PKR, which makes for a discount of 3,000 PKR. You’re looking at a drop-notch-toting 6.5-inch IPS LCD that produces an HD+ resolution. The side-bezels are minimal, but the chin remains a bit heavier than the forehead.

The back sports a glossy finish and a quad-camera setup (which sits right above the fingerprint reader). The primary shooter is a 12-megapixel lens, coupled with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a pair of 2-megapixel depth and monochrome units. The selfie camera housed inside the water-drop notch maxes out at a modest 8 megapixels.

The internals fall into the upper-mid-range segment. Under the hood, you get a Snapdragon 665 SoC at the heart of A5 2020 with either 3 GB/64 GB or 4 GB/128 GB configuration baked into it.

The OPPO A5 variant with 3 GB variant feels out of place in 2019 with an unchanged Oppo Price tag, so if you don’t want any lapses in performance, we’d recommend going for the 4 GB version (The 128GB/ 4GB configuration is the one eligible for this discount). And if you find the storage lacking, you can expand it up to 256 GB thanks to its dedicated microSD card slot.

This hardware inside the A5 2020 is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that can last you up to two days of medium usage. Note that the battery doesn’t come with support for VOOC fast-charging, so it’ll take quite a while for the battery to charge to its capacity.

The handset runs on an iOS-inspired Color OS 6 UI and Android Pie (9.0). Although the skinned-UI is a bit bloated, it is augmented with AI that helps provide a more immersive experience.
