Nokia C20 Plus and Nokia C30 to Feature Massive Battery Upgrades and Better Cameras

HMD Global’s Nokia revamped their budget C-series with two new models in Spring this year. But the Finnish brand has at least two more phones in store for us. Nokia C20 Plus and Nokia C30 were recently leaked in China, giving us a sneak peek at their design and power specifications. The C20 Plus falls into the entry-level range while the C30 is slightly higher-end.

The report comes from Nokibar of the Chinese platform Baidu, containing two alleged schematics that belong to the Nokia C20 Plus and Nokia C30. As seen in the images, both phones have an extra lens on the back now — presumably meant for portrait enhancement.

The C20 Plus lacks fingerprint security, where the C30 has a back-facing fingerprint scanner. Other than this feature, the two phones look identical. You can make out a back-firing speaker on their bottom and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the top.

More importantly, Nokia phones have traditionally fallen behind in their battery capacity. That changes with the Nokia C20 Plus and Nokia C30 and their competitive batteries. The C20 Plus has a 5000 mAh cell, and the C30’s battery is a whopping 6000 mAh. It’s a massive leap considering the 3000 mAh battery inside the newly-launched Nokia C20.

Even with their modest battery sizes, most Nokia phones promise a two-day battery thanks to the bloat-free Android they run. Nokia’s software optimizations combined with the new powerful cells should translate into even longer battery life. The latest C-series phones feature old-gen Unisoc processors, so we might see the upcoming C20 Plus and C30 adopt the same silicon.
