Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G Specs and Color Options Leaked; the Classics Revived

While we wait for the next Nokia flagship from HMD Global, the company is rebooting more feature phones from the brand’s heyday. They already brought back the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic this year, and perhaps even before 2020 ends, we might see two new reboots — Nokia 6300 and Nokia 8000 4G.

The duo first leaked in a European mobile carrier’s roster, that was picked up by NokiaPowerUser. Following up on the leak, the publication now reports the alleged specification sheets for the two phones. Not unlike every feature phone re-launch since the classic ‘Banana’ phone, the Nokia 6300 and Nokia 8000 run on the KaiOS.

It’s the third major operating system in the mobile phone landscape, after Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android. It’s designed to make ‘dumb’ phones smart...sort of. They have Google Voice Assistant integration, enhanced with support for 4G, and WiFi.

The Nokia 8000 4G takes inspiration from the Nokia 8000 series that featured high-end, premium luxury phones — crafted from gold, sapphire, or even diamonds. The source didn’t share any renders or previews, but the reboot will come in a Gold color option, in addition to Blue, White, and Black. The spec sheet reveals a standard feature phone — a 2.8” screen, 1500 mAh battery, and 4GB of internal storage.

These internals are shared with the revived Nokia 6300 4G too, and it’ll be available in Charcoal, Cyan, and White colors. No word on the pricing details yet, but citing their own sources, NokiaPowerUser says the two phones will make their debut at the upcoming HMD Global launch for the Nokia 9.3 PureView.
