There was a Lite version in the series that debuted months ago. Now we have the Honor 600 Elite that just got listed on Honor’s LATAM website as an official product and the fourth sibling in the lineup. It has the best possible durability rating on a phone and a titan battery.
The name is a little deceptive for how it’s specced, though. “Elite” sounds like it’s the best device in the group, but it’s the exact opposite. This newcomer is basically entry-level and has a 6.87” TFT LCD, which is capped at HD+ 720p resolution. All other siblings have AMOLEDs.
This LCD also peaks at a fast 120Hz refresh rate and 1020 nits of brightness, so that’s something. Honor flagship new model does have one thing going for it. Its battery is the biggest of all four versions. They’ve put an 8100mAh cell on this newcomer. Its rated cell size is 7900mAh.
80% health retention over 6 years is being claimed with that battery, and of course, every charge would last two days on average. 45W charging should be quick enough for refills, though it’s far from ideal input speed for that kind of battery.
The performance actually comes from a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip, so it has a new 4nm design and a peak 2.3GHz clock. This is also a 5G platform, by the way. All you get is entry-tier performance and features, which isn’t really an issue for the rest of its siblings. They are all midrange performers.
8GB RAM and 256GB storage are found on the Honor 600 Elite. Don’t fall for the marketing that says 24GB of memory. More than half of it is virtual RAM. The second-best quality of this newcomer is its IP69K waterproof rating. And it even got a five-star SGS rating for drop safety.
The camera on the back is a 108MP main shooter. No other camera is present on the phone, at least not on the back. There is one on the front for 5MP selfies. The frame has a fingerprint ID and an extra button for AI assistance. The two speakers output stereo audio. No price tag has been revealed yet. Keep watching the news for more updates.
