Chinese consumers just saw the launch of Vivo’s Y71t. The phone features an elegant look on the outside; and impressive specs on the inside. It's also the first Vivo phone to use the new Dimensity 810.

We’re looking at a notched screen and a 2.5D curved shell, soft edges on the casing, and a rectangular housing for the cameras resting on top. At 167g, the Vivo Y71t is one of the most featherweight phones you can find.

Vivo Y71t boasts a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with an eye-popping contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1, meaning that the finer details are not going to go unnoticed. The resolution is a respectable 1080p – 1080 x 2400 pixels – and the only thing that might slightly disappoint is the 60Hz refresh rate which feels out of place in 2021. The fingerprint scanner is built into the display.

For the cameras, Vivo's latest mobiles 2021 are loaded with camera features and the new phone also has a 16-megapixel camera on the front inside its notch. A 64-megapixel camera on the back as the main camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens. It’s a minimalist setup without low-res sensors to pad the count.

With a Dimensity 810 processor featuring a 2.4GHz CPU inside, coupled with 8 gigabytes of RAM, the phone will handle anything you throw at it. You get up to 256 gigabytes of internal storage, expandable via microSD.

44W fast-charging powers the phone’s 4000 mAh battery. Plus, the now almost-mythical 3.5mm audio jack is also included. The Y71t is priced between 1,799 and 1,999 Yuan (48,683 and 54,054 PKR respectively). one can pick from Mirage and Midnight Blue shades.
