The iPhone E has made a regular appearance back-to-back for two years now. So it’s reasonable to assume that an Apple iPhone 18e is also coming next year to succeed the current 17e. The rumor mill believes so. And the current leaks are saying that the new version will spice up the hardware.
Ming-Chi Kuo and Jeff Pu are the top Apple supply chain analysts and leakers, and their predictions are rarely proven wrong. They’ve both said that the iPhone 18e is supposed to outdo the 17e on RAM size, which goes completely against the current market trend.
RAM prices are creeping up. They’ve almost doubled or even tripled in the last few months. So it was inconceivable to hope for a RAM upgrade on the iPhone 18e. But despite all that, Ming-Chi Kuo and Jeff Pu still believe that the newcomer’s memory will level up from 8GB to 9GB.
Every Gigabyte counts. 1GB increase is not a lot, but if the phone’s price is kept the same, this upgrade is well worth it. And by the way, the only reason they are doing it is to make Apple Intelligence work on the iPhone 18e. Basic 8GB RAM doesn’t cut it when it comes to onboard AI.
