Xiaomi’s main lineup also skipped a generation. And from what we’ve been hearing in reports, the Note series will do the same thing. An official IMEI listing was found for the basic Note 17 back in May, and now the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro has been allegedly caught on 3C certification with some details. This is everything you need to know.
The 3C certification actually hid the name of the device, and all we’ve got is the model code 2607DRA18C. This can’t be the basic Note 17, since that device had a different mode number. So the rumor mill alleges it could be the Pro version.
“2607” piece of the model number is interesting because it usually tells us when a phone is going to launch. It seems the Xiaomi new flagship mobile could debut in July, and the first market, of course, is going to be the hometown/origin (China).
The other models will end up launching in August, and it will be a long while from there until the Note 17 series global launch happens at the start of next year. Anyway, 3C dropped a clue about the Note 17 Pro’s charging speed. They gave the model number of the companion adapter.
The power adapter is MDY-15-EQ. It can either do a 5V 3A input, or 15W at a minimum. And it can also do 20V at 3.25A, which is 67W. That’s the maximum charging speed the Note 17 Pro will support. There were no other helpful details on the 3C filing, but we can fill you in on leaked specs.
There’s supposed to be a flat OLED on the Pro with a 1.5K resolution. There’s possibly the same chipset on the phone that the Honor X80 Pro Max used for the first time: a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. And it will likely end up with a 9000mAh titan battery in China. Keep watching the news for updates.
