Motorola Moto G47 Power Debuts with 108MP Camera & Huge 7,000mAh Battery

This is a new sibling from the same lineup as the Motorola Moto G47. They only added “Power” to the name and gave it a bigger battery. Everything else is identical on both versions. The price tag soared for the new Motorola Moto G47 Power just because it has more endurance.

The base 4/128GB option in the UK is listed for £299.99 or ~$400. Yes, it does have a bigger 7000mAh battery, but nothing else is special about the handset. Motorola Moto G47 Power is just a 5G entry-class device at the end of the day, with only 4GB of RAM to its name.

The phone’s built around a Dimensity 6300 chip, by the way. So it’s not exactly the best performance phone out there. All you get is a 2.4GHz boost clock 6nm CPU and a Mali G57 GPU. Yes, the storage is 128GB UFS 2.2, but the performance is crippled by limited 4GB of physical memory.

It’s an LCD, not an AMOLED. Motorola latest 5G mobile actually uses an IPS 6.67” medium display. The resolution is just 720p HD+, but it does have a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is 1050nits, which for an LCD is pretty high. But it’s nowhere close to the AMOLEDs we normally find at this price.

It does have an IP64 rating, just minor water resistance. And the padded chassis is safe from fall damage. The Moto G47 Power is MIL-STD-810H compliant. Those aren’t the specialties. Even the basic G47 has all those features. Battery size is the best part.

They’ve put a 7000mAh cell on the Moto G47 Power. That name is appropriate for it. The battery’s true rating is 6,790mAh. This size is more than enough for a day and a half of usage. And the empty battery will refill at a 30W charging rate. The port can reverse-charge other items at 6W.

The camera on the front is just an 8MP unit, nothing special. But the rear lens can do 3X lossless zoom on a 108MP main camera. Those are the only two working sensors. There are three colors and one storage option. Again, the Moto G47 Power gets pretty expensive at ~£300 (~PKR 110,000).
