Itel launches devices at random, and this may be another unpredictable entry to their budget line. They had already released the Zeno 200 back in May. So we were a little surprised to see the Itel Zeno 100 Pro launch out of the blue. This handset is from the last generation and quite cheap for the hardware it carries.
The design is quite flashy. A few elements have changed, but it looks like an iPhone with its orange color and wide camera bar. There’s only a single camera on the back, though. It’s an 8MP main lens. They’ve put an IR blaster in one of the sockets.
The selfie camera seems to be a 5MP basic sensor, and it’s sitting in a water drop notch on the 6.6” IPS LCD. It has a basic display. Nothing too elaborate. There’s only HD+ or 720p resolution. And the pixels are pushed at 90Hz, so at least the animations will feel smooth.
Unisoc T7100 SoC inside the itel latest Zeno mobile will render pixels on that display just fine. And because this newcomer has Android 15 Go, we don’t think the SoC will have any problem handling the UI. Though 3GB RAM is a limiting factor here.
But they do give you access to virtual 5GB extra memory, so that must help. A chunk of your 64GB storage will be used to turn on this feature. Zeno 100 Pro’s battery is quite average, but that’s usually what you get in this price segment.
5000mAh basic battery pack is installed on the Zeno 100 Pro, and the charging backup seems to be 10W wired input through USB-C. Like we said, they put an IR blaster on the phone. And the single speaker is DTS optimized, but no surround sound.
This newcomer also seems to have the UltraLink feature that mimics a radio for network-free calls up to a certain distance. By the way, the Zeno 100 Pro has a MIL-STD-810H-grade build. There’s also a side fingerprint reader and face unlock on the handset. Itel Zeno 100 Pro (3/64GB) cost is just shy of $90 (~PKR 25,000).
